NEET (UG)
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) – Under Graduate will be conducted by
National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS / BDS Courses in India. The high scores in
NEET (UG) will pave way to admission into Medical / Dental colleges approved by Medical Council
of India / Dental Council of India.

NEET (PG)
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NNET) – Post Graduate is an eligibility – cum –
ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission into various MD /
MS and PG Diploma courses. Students who have completed MBBS degree or had recognised
Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate are eligible to appear for this exam.

NEET (SS)
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) – Super Speciality is an eligibility – cum –
ranking examination prescribed for admission into various DM / MCh and DrNB Super Speciality
courses under various universities/institutions in India. Students having recognised post graduate
medical degree are eligible to appear for this exam.

USMLE
The United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) is a three-step examination program
for medical licensure in United States sponsored by Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB)
and National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME).
Eligibility criteria: Students from India should be officially enrolled in, or should be a graduate
of, a medical school which is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools. Also, an Indian
student pursuing MBBS degree can appear for the exam after the second year of their program.
However, this exam has no age bar.

Difficulty Level: The step 1 is conducted to assess the grasping ability and capacity to apply fundamental concepts of the basic sciences with respect to medical practice. It focuses on understanding various standards and procedures that support health, disease and therapies.

The step 2 is conducted to assess the proficiency in diagnosing and establishing the management of
diseases affecting different organ systems. It also focuses on understanding the legal and ethical
matters and patient safety.

The step 3 assess one’s proficiency, expertise and practical application of clinical and biomedical
sciences required for patient care which is conducted for two days.

Since USMLE is a very tough and a challenging exam, Wisdom helps the students in its

PLAB
The Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board (PLAB) exam is very important for the medical
graduates who are ambitious to pursue their medical career in United Kingdom. This exam is
carried out by the General Medical Council (GMC) which enables to practice and secure
registration in UK.
Eligibility Criteria: The aspirant must have primary medical qualification / MBBS that is listed
in the World Directory of Medical Schools and recognized by GMC; demonstrating proficiency in the
English language by achieving required scores in IELTS / Occupational English Test. However, an
aspirant who completed at least one year of internship or its equivalent in India is also eligible to
appear for PLAB.

Difficulty Level: PLAB exam consists of two parts. Part 1 assesses theoretical knowledge and
hence it is very important for the students to acquire and retain vast amount of knowledge. This
test is basically conducted to analyse fundamental clinical principles and application of the learnt
knowledge to different scenarios. On the other hand, Part 2 is a practical assessment which
evaluates the student’s ability to apply the knowledge in a simulated clinical environment.
Thus, it is a very challenging assessment which requires long term dedication and hard work.
